Asian Development Bank President Masato Kanda has arrived in Kyrgyzstan for a working visit, where he will take part in the 24th Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Conference.
The conference will be held under the theme “Green and Digital CAREC”, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.
The event brings together regional leaders to discuss sustainable growth, digital transformation, and stronger economic cooperation across Central Asia.
His visit comes shortly after the ADB approved a $56.4 million program aimed at boosting disaster response systems in both Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The initiative includes a $53.1 million grant from the Asian Development Fund and an additional $3.3 million from the Asia-Pacific Climate Finance Fund, underscoring the bank’s commitment to climate resilience in the region.
