Chinese Investors Set Sights on Kyrgyzstan’s Geological Exploration Sector

China-based investors are showing growing interest in Kyrgyzstan’s mineral sector, with new plans emerging for geological exploration projects across the country.

The Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers announced that Chinese investment groups are prepared to finance exploration initiatives aimed at developing the country’s mineral resources, including polymetals and rare earth elements, The Caspian Post reports via Kabar.

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev held talks with a delegation led by He Ruqiu of Hunan Global South Industry. The discussions focused on launching exploration projects, introducing modern technologies, and improving related infrastructure.

Investors also expressed readiness to support job creation and training programs for local specialists. Kasymaliev welcomed the proposals, stressing Kyrgyzstan’s interest in attracting foreign investment to develop its natural resource base and strengthening cooperation in the mining sector.

Both sides agreed to continue coordination with the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision, as well as Kyrgyzgeology, to further develop potential joint investment formats.
