Chinese Investors to Build Waste Incineration Facilities in Kyrgyzstan

Governor of Kyrgyzstan's Issyk-Kul Region Bakytbek Jetigenov today held a meeting with a delegation of foreign investors.

The Issyk-Kul state administration reported that the delegation included representatives of the Chinese company Hunan Junxin Huanbao, headed by General Director Dai Daoguo, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.

At the meeting, an investment project for the construction of modern waste incineration plants in the city of Balykchy and in the Ak-Suu district was presented. The goal of the project is to improve the environmental situation in the region and introduce an effective solid waste management system.

The investors noted that they are already implementing a similar project in Bishkek and are ready to apply the accumulated experience in the Issyk-Kul region. They presented a preliminary feasibility study and expressed their readiness to begin construction as early as 2025.

"The disposal of solid waste remains a pressing issue in the region. We strive to solve it using modern technologies and attracting investments. Ecology and public health are our priority. The administration will provide comprehensive support," Bakytbek Zhetigenov emphasized.

Following the meeting, a framework agreement was signed between the leadership of the Issyk-Kul region and Hunan Junxin Huanbao. Under the agreement, investors will undertake the construction of facilities, equipping them with modern equipment and training local specialists.

The implementation of the project will systematically solve the problem of waste disposal, reduce the burden on the environment and improve the quality of life of the population.
