A group of 80 riders from 11 European countries has successfully completed a 40-kilometer horseback expedition from Kyzart village to the picturesque Song-Köl Lake in Kyrgyzstan’s Jumgal district, as part of the international equestrian tourism initiative Gallops Kyrgyzstan-2025.
The route, which winds through dramatic mountain terrain in the Naryn region, included multiple rest and meal breaks, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.
Riders said they were deeply impressed by the pristine natural landscapes and the serene grandeur of Song-Köl, one of Central Asia’s most iconic alpine lakes.
Over the course of five days, participants are set to ride more than 200 kilometers through rugged highland trails, eventually returning to Kyzart.
Organizers note that Gallops Kyrgyzstan-2025 marks the first event of its kind not only in Kyrgyzstan but in entire Central Asia. The project aims to boost the country’s profile as a unique destination for eco-tourism, cultural discovery, and horseback expeditions.
