- In 2025, the Kyrgyz Republic produced 26 tons of gold. This was reported on the radio by the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, Meder Mashiev, The Caspian Post informs, via AkiPress.
The minister noted that the same level of production was observed in 2024, while in 2022 and 2023, the volumes amounted to 30-32 tons. The decrease is associated with a reduction in extraction at the Kumtor deposit.
However, according to Mashiev, the rise in global gold prices contributed to an increase in revenue in monetary terms.
He added that the extraction and exploitation of natural resources account for approximately 65% of the total industrial production of the country.
