Japan to Supply Kyrgyzstan with $177,000 Worth of Medical Equipment

Japan will supply medical equipment to Kyrgyzstan's healthcare facilities.

Grant contracts for this initiative were signed at the Embassy of Japan in the Kyrgyz Republic, The Caspian Post reports citing foreign media.

The documents were signed by Ambassador of Japan Goda Hideki, Deputy Minister of Health Karmanbek Davletov, Deputy Minister of Education, as well as the grant recipients.

According to the agreements, medical equipment will be provided to Bakai-Ata general medical practice center of Talas region, general medical practice venter of Sulyukta in Batken region, as well as to the boarding school for blind and visually impaired children in Osh city.

The general medical practice center of Bakai-Ata district will be provided with a cardiac surgical monitor, a portable ultrasound machine, and an electroencephalograph worth $83,450.

The Sulyukta city medical center will be provided with an autoclave, an ENT combine, and an esophagogastroduodenoscope for $93,390.

The Osh boarding school for blind and visually impaired children will be provided with a Braille typewriter (12 units) and an autorefractometer (1 unit) worth $47,150.
