Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has dismissed Rustam Mamasadykov from the post of Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan.
Under a separate decree, Japarov appointed Mamasadykov as First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security, signaling a broader reshuffle within the country’s security leadership, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
The changes followed the earlier dismissal of Chairman of State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev, after which three of his deputies were also removed from office, the Presidential Administration said. Those dismissed include First Deputy Chairman Kurvanbek Avazov, Deputy Chairman and Head of the Cybersecurity Coordination Center Daniyar Rysaliyev, and Deputy Chairman and Director of the Anti-Terrorism Center Elizar Smanov.
After Tashiev’s resignation, his deputy Zhumgalbek Shabdanbekov was appointed acting head of the State Committee for National Security.
