Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Japarov has marked the inaugural International Snow Leopard Day, a UN-recognized event born from Kyrgyz initiative, celebrating the majestic "ghost of the mountains."

In his statement, Japarov praised the global unity symbolized by the day, emphasizing the snow leopard’s role as a symbol of freedom, resilience, and national pride, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.
