Kyrgyz President Leads Key Talks on Security and Counterterrorism with Turkic States

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has received the heads of delegations at the fourth meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Bishkek, where discussions focused on regional and international security, counterterrorism, cyber threats, and enhancing cooperation among Turkic nations.

The meeting brought together Security Council Secretaries from Kyrgyzstan (Baktybek Bekbolotov), Azerbaijan (Ramil Usubov), Kazakhstan (Gizat Nurdauletov ), Türkiye (Okay Memiş), and Uzbekistan (Viktor Mahmudov), alongside OTS Secretary-General Kubanychbek Omuraliev, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

President Japarov highlighted Kyrgyzstan’s efforts to deepen collaboration during its OTS chairmanship, stating, “Our cooperation spans a wide spectrum-from foreign policy, trade, energy, and the green economy to tourism, digitalization, and even space research. Today, the Organization of Turkic States plays a key role in advancing regional and international stability.”

The Security Council leaders, including Azerbaijan’s representative, commended Kyrgyzstan’s leadership in the OTS and expressed their commitment to enhancing strategic partnerships across member states.
