Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has issued disciplinary measures against several high-ranking officials, signaling a firm stance on accountability within the government.

According to a presidential decree No. 16 dated January 26, 2026, Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev received a strict reprimand. The information was confirmed by presidential spokesperson Askat Alagozov, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

While the official document does not elaborate in detail, the reprimand is reportedly linked to “improper performance of assigned duties.” The decision was based on a memo submitted by the head of the department responsible for overseeing the implementation of presidential and Cabinet decisions within the Presidential Administration.

In addition, a strict reprimand was issued to Ravshan Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency. Meanwhile, Azamat Kadyraliev, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration and chief of the department for preparing presidential decisions, received an official warning.
