Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has inspected the operations of the Tian-Shan Trout LLC fish feed production plant in the Chui region, highlighting the country’s push to strengthen its aquaculture industry.
Around $5 million was invested in the construction of the facility, which was built on a seven-hectare site in just eight months. Once operating at full capacity, the plant is expected to produce 100-130 tons of fish feed per day, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
The launch of the facility will create 100 to 120 permanent jobs, while fully covering Kyrgyzstan’s domestic demand for fish feed and opening up new opportunities for export growth, the company’s director Ilgiz Saryldyk uulu said.
During the visit, President Japarov stressed the importance of strict and continuous adherence to quality standards, noting that high product quality is essential for the sustainable development of the fish farming sector and for boosting the competitiveness of Kyrgyz-made products on regional and international markets.
