Kyrgyz Wrestler Bekzat Almaz uulu Clinches Silver at World Championships in Croatia

Kyrgyz athlete Bekzat Almaz uulu has won a silver medal at the World Freestyle Wrestling Championships in Croatia.

Competing in the 57-kilogram weight category, Almaz uulu was defeated by North Korean Chong Song Han in the final, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

On his path to the gold medal match, he secured victories over Canada’s athlete Garette Austin Saunders, Japan’s athlete Rin Sakamoto, Macedonia’s athlete Vladimir Egorov, and Uzbekistan’s athlete Gulomzhon Abdullaev.

The day before, fellow Kyrgyz wrestler Ernazar Akmataliev earned a bronze medal at the championships, adding to the country’s success on the international stage.
