Kyrgyz Wushu Stars Grab Silver and Two Bronzes at Islamic Solidarity Games

Kyrgyzstan has added to its medal tally at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, securing a silver and two bronze medals in wushu.

Abror Khakimov (up to 70 kg) earned silver after a tough final against an Iranian opponent, while Temirlan Amankulov (up to 85 kg) and Kanybek uulu Dastan (up to 60 kg) both claimed bronze after semifinal defeats to competitors from Egypt and Iran, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

Earlier, Kyrgyz athletes had already won three silver and one bronze medal, boosting the country’s performance in Riyadh.

The Games, running from November 7 to 21, feature 19 sports-including three Paralympic disciplines-and host over 90 athletes from Kyrgyzstan alone.
