Kyrgyzstan Arrests Foreign Extremists Plotting Youth Recruitment

The officers of the Kyrgyz State Committee for National Security, during counter-terrorism operations based on intelligence and filtration measures at entry and exit points, have detained foreign nationals A.F., R.Sh., and N.Kh.

It was established that these individuals were members of extremely radical religious extremist organizations and were wanted in their home countries for committing terrorism-related crimes, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

While in Kyrgyzstan, they were planning to carry out recruitment activities among young people.

The detainees have been placed in the pre-trial detention facility.
