During a working visit to the Osh region, Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov took part in the ceremony of laying a capsule in the foundation of the construction of the IT-city of the Osh-city project.
The presidential press service said that in his speech the head of state noted that the main goal of this project is the sustainable development of the regions within the framework of state policy, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.
An important aspect is the active use of modern technologies and the development of mass housing construction. Support for the IT sphere will increase the competitiveness of Kyrgyzstan, which accelerates the economic, social and technological development of both the city of Osh and the entire country.
"Thanks to this project, Osh, our hospitable and multinational city, will preserve the traditional values of peace and harmony, will become the cultural and material heritage of the entire Turkic world, as well as a major provider of the Great Silk Road. The city will strengthen trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties, attracting tourists from all over the world. Improving the infrastructure and developing the city in different directions make Osh even more attractive for life and business. One of the significant steps in this direction is the Osh City project and its IT town," said Sadyr Japarov.
He emphasized that the IT town will become a modern innovative complex for residents, entrepreneurs and IT specialists. The project will build a modern and convenient infrastructure - residential, social, commercial and IT, fully meeting the requirements of the population and business.
"The implementation of this large-scale project will contribute to improving the quality of life of citizens, as well as to the development of key sectors of the economy, such as construction and information technology. During the construction process, thousands of jobs will be created, which in turn will reduce the level of migration. After the completion of the project, jobs will appear in the IT city in the sphere of housing services, trade and services, education, healthcare and the IT industry,” the president noted.
He added that within the framework of this project, a large residential complex with an area of 1 million square meters and more than 10,000 apartments will be built. Some of them will be transferred to the State Mortgage Company so that citizens can purchase housing through a mortgage program. Residential buildings will be equipped with energy-saving systems and high-speed Internet.
“Modern schools and kindergartens will be built in this multifunctional residential complex, providing high-quality education for children. A modern multidisciplinary medical institution will be created to provide medical care to residents of the IT city, including an outpatient department, a maternity hospital and diagnostic centers. Sports halls, pedestrian and bicycle paths, green recreation areas, children's playgrounds and active recreation areas for adults will also be built,” the head of state said. He noted that this town will become a center of attraction for specialists from different regions of Kyrgyzstan and foreign countries, as well as a platform for the emergence of new technological initiatives.
The president emphasized that this project is an important step towards ensuring the long-term sustainable development of Osh. In the future, it should become a modern technological and social center for the entire region.
