Kyrgyzstan Boosts Tobacco Exports, Expanding Reach Across Asia and Europe

The Kyrgyz Agriculture Ministry has announced that in recent years, Nookat district significantly boosted its focus on tobacco exports, leading to notable growth in shipments from Kyrgyzstan to Vietnam, Greece, Russia, and Kazakhstan.

Constant Leaf Tobacco company increased its raw tobacco exports to Vietnam from 29.3 tons in 2023 to 60 tons in 2024, The Caspian Post reports per Kyrgyz media.

Meanwhile, LLC BAEK expanded its exports of fermented tobacco to Greece, rising from 154 tons last year to 170 tons in 2025.

The district also recorded substantial exports of tobacco waste, with 8 tons sent to Kazakhstan and 561 tons to Russia in 2024. In 2025, these figures stood at 97 tons to Kazakhstan and 378.4 tons to Russia.

These trends underscore the growing export capacity of Kyrgyzstan’s tobacco industry. The well-established and steady export flows to European and Asian markets are making a significant contribution to regional entrepreneurship and agricultural development.
