Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev received Head of Delegation of the European Union to the Kyrgyz Republic, Ambassador Marilyn Josefson, on the occasion of the completion of her diplomatic mission, according to the country's Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the European Union, as well as plans for the implementation of joint initiatives in the near future, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.
Jeenbek Kulubaev expressed gratitude to Marilyn Josefson for her significant contribution to strengthening and developing Kyrgyz-European cooperation. The Minister emphasized the importance of implementing initiatives aimed at expanding dialogue in key areas such as the economy, education, digitalization, regional development, and human rights protection.
Ambassador Marilyn Josefson thanked for the fruitful cooperation, noting that Kyrgyzstan holds an important place in the European Union’s priorities. She also expressed her intention to continue promoting the development of bilateral relations, even after leaving the country.
Following the meeting, as a sign of appreciation for their fruitful collaboration, Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev presented Ambassador Marilyn Josefson with the jubilee medal “80 Years of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic”.
