Kyrgyzstan is fast-tracking its regional development drive, with 20 major investment projects worth a combined 52 billion soms now underway in the Osh region.
President Sadyr Japarov made the announcement during a meeting with activists and residents of the Aravan District as part of his working visit, highlighting the scale and strategic importance of the initiatives, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
The projects span a wide range of critical sectors, including infrastructure modernization, water supply systems, healthcare expansion, environmental programs, transport connectivity, and broader regional development efforts.
President Japarov said that a large-scale project portfolio reflects both steady implementation progress and growing confidence from international donors and financial institutions.
“This confirms the strong momentum of project execution and sustained interest from global partners,” he said.
The investment surge is expected to significantly improve living standards in the region, boost economic activity, and strengthen Osh’s role as a key driver of Kyrgyzstan’s long-term growth strategy.
