Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania Hold Talks on Freight Border Issues

Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Meder Abakirov has had a phone call with Lithuanian Deputy Foreign Minister Audra Plepytė to discuss bilateral cooperation and the smooth movement of Kyrgyz freight carriers through Lithuania.

During the conversation, the sides highlighted the importance of strengthening political dialogue and continuing consultations to expand cooperation, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Abakirov stressed the need for timely updates on any border restrictions or temporary measures that could affect cargo transport, noting that such coordination is essential for uninterrupted logistics.

The officials also reviewed opportunities to deepen ties in trade, agriculture, the processing industry, and other key sectors, reaffirming their commitment to developing a more active partnership.
