Kyrgyzstan, Russia Sign 2026 Military Cooperation Plan at CSTO

During the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) ministerial meetings, Kyrgyz Defense Minister, Major General Ruslan Mukambetov and Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov have held bilateral talks to review the current state of Kyrgyz-Russian defense cooperation and outline future priorities.

Both sides highlighted the positive momentum in joint military activities and reaffirmed their intention to further strengthen strategic ties, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

Special attention was given to military education, personnel training, and expanding practical cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The ministers emphasized their commitment to building a partnership grounded in mutual respect and support.

Following the talks, Mukambetov and Belousov approved the Military Cooperation Plan for 2026, marking a new stage in defense collaboration between the two countries.
