Russian President Vladimir Putin has concluded his state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.
The visit began with Putin and President Sadyr Japarov laying wreaths at the Eternal Flame in Bishkek’s Victory Square. The next day, an official welcome ceremony was held at Yntymak Ordo, followed by expanded-format talks between the two leaders, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.
During the meeting, the presidents discussed key areas of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation and outlined future plans to strengthen strategic ties. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the negotiations, which resulted in the signing of several bilateral agreements and a joint statement on deepening the alliance and strategic partnership.
President Japarov later told the media that Kyrgyzstan and Russia aim to increase mutual trade to $5 billion in the coming years.
Ahead of the CSTO Collective Security Council session, participating leaders were treated to an ethnocultural program at the Ala-Archa state residence, including a visit to the Kyrgyz Aiyly ethnographic complex.
On the final day, the heads of member states joined another session of the CSTO Council. At Manas Airport, President Japarov personally accompanied Putin to the aircraft ramp, concluding the state visit.
