The leaders of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states have arrived in Bishkek for a key session of the Collective Security Council, chaired by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.
Ahead of the summit, official delegations were welcomed with protocol ceremonies as presidents Vladimir Putin, Alexander Lukashenko, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and Emomali Rahmon gathered for high-level talks, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.
The agenda is set to focus on regional security, migration, drug control, and responses to emerging threats, with more than ten documents - including a final declaration - expected to be signed. Russia will take over the CSTO chairmanship starting January 1, 2026, while members will also review the nominee for the next Secretary General for the 2026-2029 term.
