During the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) cultural showcase in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Russian leader Vladimir Putin has surprised attendees by joining a young musician for an impromptu music lesson, adding a lively personal moment to the gathering of regional leaders.
On the eve of the upcoming CSTO Collective Security Council meeting, heads of member states were treated to a brief ethnocultural program at the Ala-Archa state residence, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.
Leaders toured the Kyrgyz Aiyly ethnographic complex, where they were introduced to elements of traditional Kyrgyz life-from yurt interiors and national household items to local handicrafts and cultural displays representing CSTO member nations.
As a gesture of hospitality, the Kyrgyz president presented his counterparts with handmade wall panels and national musical instruments symbolizing respect and friendship.
During the tour, an unexpected moment drew attention: Putin paused to watch a young komuz (a three-stringed, fretless, plucked musical instrument) player, then picked up the traditional instrument himself and attempted to repeat the chords shown by the young musician, adding a personal touch to the cultural exchange.
