Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Fund for Development Explore New Joint Projects

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, has met with Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Fund for Development, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation and advancing joint development projects.

The meeting centered on evaluating the current state of Kyrgyz-Saudi collaboration and exploring future opportunities across a range of sectors, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

Kasymaliev commended the Saudi Fund’s significant contribution to strengthening ties between the two countries, emphasizing the Fund’s vital role in supporting critical infrastructure and social development projects.

“Our cooperation with the Saudi Fund for Development has been both strategic and productive,” Kasymaliev said. “Thanks to their support, we are successfully implementing projects in healthcare, transportation, housing, and improving water supply for rural communities, directly benefiting our citizens.”

Sultan Al-Marshad reaffirmed the Fund’s dedication to Kyrgyzstan’s development goals and expressed eagerness to broaden collaboration through additional socially impactful initiatives.

Both leaders highlighted their commitment to deepening the partnership to foster sustainable socio-economic growth. Discussions also focused on potential cooperation regarding the Kambarata HPP-1, a key hydropower project essential to Kyrgyzstan’s future energy strategy.

The meeting concluded with a mutual pledge to build a lasting and effective partnership between Kyrgyzstan and the Saudi Fund for Development.
