Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye have taken the opportunity to discuss enhancing the bilateral cooperation during the ongoing Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Summit in Gabala, Azerbaijan.
Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met on the sidelines of the summit to review the progress and future potential of their countries’ partnership. The discussion included preparations for Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz’s upcoming visit to Kyrgyzstan, scheduled for September 17-18, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.
Both ministers also exchanged views on the broader collaboration within the OTS framework, emphasizing the growing ties between the Turkic-speaking nations.
The 12th OTS Summit is being held in Gabala on October 6-7, alongside a meeting of foreign ministers. At the end of the summit, Kyrgyzstan will officially transfer the OTS chairmanship to Azerbaijan, marking a new phase of regional cooperation.
