Kyrgyzstan Endorses Cultural Unity Through TURKSOY Reforms

President Sadyr Japarov has reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s full support for the ongoing reform agenda within the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) at the 12th Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Gabala, Azerbaijan.

President Japarov emphasized that innovation is crucial to realizing the common objectives of the Turkic world, urging member states to modernize and adapt in order to strengthen cultural and political cohesion across the region, The Caspian Post informs via local media.

He also announced that Kyrgyzstan will hold its parliamentary elections on November 30, and expressed a clear expectation that election observers from Turkic nations would participate, thereby furthering transparency and regional cooperation.

In a forward-looking statement, Japarov highlighted the significance of the 6th World Nomad Games, scheduled to be hosted by Kyrgyzstan in 2026, calling the event pivotal for the preservation, celebration, and promotion of the Turkic peoples’ cultural heritage.
