Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has proposed considering the possibility of establishing direct air links between Kyrgyzstan and the United States during a meeting with Utah state officials.

The meeting was held on Sept. 19 at the State Capitol in Salt Lake City. In addition to air connectivity, the sides discussed cooperation in tourism, education, finance and the mining industry, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kabar.

President Japarov also highlighted the potential for expanding business ties between Kyrgyzstan and US partners.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox expressed interest in further developing mutually beneficial cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the US.
