Kyrgyzstan, Slovenia Sign Visa-Free Deal for Diplomats

Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev and Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon have signed an agreement to waive visa requirements for diplomatic passport holders, strengthening diplomatic engagement between the two nations.

The agreement was finalized during Kulubaev’s official visit to Slovenia, where the two sides also signed a 2026-2027 cooperation program between their foreign ministries, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

The program includes plans for regular consultations on political, economic, and cultural issues, and calls for deeper collaboration within international organizations, including coordinated positions on key matters at the UN General Assembly and Security Council.

Officials see the agreements as a step toward enhancing bilateral relations and promoting shared interests on the global stage.
