Kyrgyzstan, US Officials Meet to Tackle Visa, Consular Challenges

Kyrgyz Deputy Foreign Minister Almaz Imangaziev has met with US Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Lesslie Viguerie to address pressing consular matters.

The talks centered on recent changes to US visa policies impacting Kyrgyz citizens. Imangaziev expressed the Kyrgyz government’s concerns, stressing the importance of a constructive dialogue and adherence to the principle of reciprocity in resolving these issues, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.

Ambassador Viguerie shared statistical information regarding Kyrgyz nationals living in the US and detailed key updates in US migration and visa regulations.

Both sides agreed to maintain ongoing consultations to find balanced, mutually acceptable solutions, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the consular field.
