Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev has met with his Uzbek counterpart Bakhtiyor Saidov in Bishkek to discuss ways to further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two neighboring countries during Saidov’s official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
The ministers reviewed the entire range of the Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan relations, exchanged views on current regional and global developments, and outlined joint measures to implement agreements previously reached at the presidential and governmental levels, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
Key outcomes of the meeting were reflected in a newly adopted bilateral Cooperation Roadmap.
Both sides praised the growing momentum of political dialogue and reaffirmed their mutual commitment to deepening collaboration across all sectors. They also expressed a shared desire to elevate bilateral ties to a new level of quality through sustained engagement and practical cooperation.
A significant part of the discussion centered on collaboration within international and regional organizations, including the United Nations, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The ministers confirmed their intention to continue aligning positions on key issues of mutual interest on the regional and global stage.
The two sides also reviewed the Joint Action Plan for the upcoming state visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan, and discussed the implementation of the 2025-2026 Cooperation Program between their respective foreign ministries.
Talks were held in an atmosphere of trust, openness, and mutual support. The ministers identified promising areas for expanded cooperation and agreed on a schedule of future high-level events.
