Foreign trade between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan has grown by 12.8 percent since the start of 2025.
From January to June, the combined trade volume of goods and services between the two countries reached $430.2 million, exceeding the same period last year by $50 million, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
Uzbekistan’s exports in June showed notable increases to several key markets, including Russia (up 20.3 per cent), Afghanistan (up 15.5 per cent), Kazakhstan (up 17.4 per cent), and the United Arab Emirates, where exports more than doubled compared to the previous year.
Conversely, exports from Uzbekistan to China decreased by 12.9 per cent, to Türkiye by 23.9 per cent, and notably to Kyrgyzstan by 24.7 per cent, signaling shifts in regional trade dynamics.
