Kyrgyzstan’s eighth Jogorku Kenesh convenes with ceremonial swearing-in of MPs, attended by President Sadyr Japarov, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev, and government officials.
The session is chaired by the oldest MP, Gulai Mashrapova, following parliamentary rules, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Tynchtyk Shainazarov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission, confirmed the elections’ validity in 30 constituencies. Out of 88 seats, 87 MPs were elected, with results in constituency No. 13 invalidated.
MPs received official certificates and badges before taking the oath of office. Early parliamentary elections were held on November 30, 2025.
