Qatar Welcomes Tajikistan-Kyrgyzstan Agreement

Qatar has welcomed the signing of the border demarcation agreement between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, viewing it as a significant step towards strengthening security and stability in both countries and within the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) region.

In a statement Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted the two countries' desire and commitment to resolving issues through dialogue, thus moving forward towards constructive co-operation that serves their joint interests, The Caspian Post reports citing foreign media.

The ministry highlighted Qatar's full support for all efforts aimed at resolving disputes and conflicts through peaceful means, in order to consolidate peace and security at the regional and international levels.
