Edil Baisalov, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the US, has officially presented his credentials to US President Donald Trump during a ceremony held at the White House.
Baisalov conveyed greetings and best wishes from Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and reaffirmed Bishkek’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the US, The Caspian Post reports via AKIPress.
During the meeting, Baisalov noted that Kyrgyzstan highly values the support provided by the US since the country gained independence. He also expressed appreciation for Washington’s continued attention to cooperation with Central Asia.
President Trump welcomed the new Kyrgyz ambassador and expressed readiness to further develop bilateral relations between the two countries. He highlighted the importance of warm ties between the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and the US and said he believes Baisalov’s mission will help deepen political and economic cooperation.
