Türkiye and Uzbekistan held the inaugural meeting of their 4+4 format mechanism in Ankara on Tuesday, gathering senior officials from both countries responsible for foreign affairs, defense, interior, and intelligence.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan attended the meeting alongside National Defense Minister Yasar Guler, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, and National Intelligence Organization (MIT) chief Ibrahim Kalin, according to a Turkish Foreign Ministry post on Turkish social media platform NSosyal, The Caspian Post reports, citing Anadolu.
The ministry said the Turkish officials met with their Uzbek counterparts within the framework of the newly established mechanism.
