Starting December 1, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) began supplying natural gas to Slovakia’s largest state-owned energy supplier, SPP.

This supply is part of a short-term pilot agreement between SOCAR and SPP, with both companies aiming to establish a long-term energy partnership, The Caspian Post reports, citing SOCAR.

The new supply route allows SOCAR to further diversify its export markets.
