The 17th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025), taking place in Istanbul, Türkiye, continues to serve as a crucial platform for international defense cooperation.
Azerbaijani Minister of Defense Industry Vugar Mustafayev, attending the event, held several high-level meetings with counterparts from various countries. He met with Nigerian Minister of State for Defense Bello Muhammad Matawalle, Somali Minister of Defense Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, South African Deputy Minister of Defense and Military Veterans Bantubonke Harrington Holomisa, and Saudi Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Khaled bin Hussein Al-Biyari, The Caspian Post reports.
During these meetings, participants emphasized the strong business environment at IDEF 2025 and recognized the exhibition as an important venue for fostering defense industry cooperation. Discussions focused on potential military-technical partnerships and other areas of mutual interest.
As part of the exhibition program, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Chairman of the Board of Baykar, Selçuk Bayraktar, visited the stand of Azersilah Defense Industry Holding CJSC, which operates under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense Industry. Minister Mustafayev briefed them on the military products showcased by Azerbaijan at the event.
The Ministry of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan is participating in IDEF for the ninth time. The exhibition will conclude on July 27.
