OIC Welcomes Tajikistan-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Int’l Border Delmitation Treaty

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) issued a statement welcoming the signing by the presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan of a treaty delimitating the tripartite border point among their countries and the Khujand Declaration of perpetual friendship at a summit of the three presidents in Khujand, Tajikistan, on Monday 31 March 2025, The Caspian Post reports.

“The OIC Secretary-General, Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, offered his congratulations to the three countries, their presidents, and their people for this historic achievement which culminates the delimitation of the borders between the three countries and the negotiations to settle the more than three-decades-long border disputes and gives a new momentum to the strategic relations among the three countries,” read the statement.

“Against the backdrop of the OIC’s commitment to strengthening the bonds of brotherhood, harmony, and cooperation among its Member States, the OIC Secretary-General looks forward to this significant achievement among these sisterly countries contributing to reinforcing the foundations of security, stability, and economic cooperation among the countries of the region,” it noted.
