Russia's Lavrov, China's Wang Discuss Ukraine, Iran in Baku

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi discussed relations with the United States, as well as the crises in Ukraine and Iran.

The top Russian and Chinese diplomats held talks on the sidelines of the 7th summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Baku on Wednesday, The Caspian Post reports, citing Russia's Foreign Ministry.

The two sides also discussed relations with the United States and the situation surrounding the Ukrainian and Iranian crises.

During the meeting, Lavrov handed his Chinese counterpart a report titled “Goebbels' Heirs: Falsification of Events in Bucha and Bloody Staged Acts by the Kyiv Regime.”

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the report was prepared by the International Public Tribunal, led by its chairman, Maxim Grigoryev, a member of Russia’s Civic Chamber. The ministry said the report aims to expose what it described as fake news disseminated by the Kyiv regime regarding the alleged massacre in Bucha.

The two sides reaffirmed the closeness of Moscow and Beijing’s positions on international issues.
