A Russian drone strike has targeted a private kindergarten in Kholodnohirskyi district of Ukraine's Kharkiv, killing a 40-year-old man and injuring five others, including children.
The strike caused a fire at the scene, and emergency crews quickly evacuated the injured, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said the attack was part of a broader wave of Russian missile and drone strikes across Ukraine.
In the Kyiv region, residential buildings were also hit, sparking fires and resulting in more civilian casualties.
Ukrainian officials, including President Zelenskyy and Foreign Minister Sybiha, condemned the attacks and urged international partners to step up support, warning that talk of diplomacy from Moscow rings hollow without consequences for continued aggression.
