Azerbaijan Extradites Wanted Kyrgyz National to Russia

Azerbaijan has extradited Kyrgyz citizen Kamoliddin Tadjimatov, born in 1994, to Russia.

According to a statement from the Prosecutor General's Office, K. Tadjimatov had been placed on the international wanted list by Russian law enforcement. He faces charges in Russia regarding the violation of traffic regulations that resulted in severe, grievous bodily harm to another individual through negligence, The Caspian Post reports.

Following his placement on the wanted list, Tadjimatov was tracked down and detained in Azerbaijan in March 2026. Subsequent to his arrest, an Azerbaijani court issued a ruling placing him in pretrial detention pending extradition proceedings.

After the formal legal procedures were finalized, the accused individual was officially handed over to the authorized Russian legal authorities. The transfer was carried out under a specialized escort provided by the Penitentiary Service of Azerbaijan's Justice Ministry.
