A fire has erupted at an oil depot in Russia’s Tambov city after debris from a recent drone attack reportedly linked to Ukraine ignited fuel tanks.
Tambov Governor Yevgeny Pervishov said the blaze broke out at the Nikiforovskaya oil depot in the village of Dmitrievka, adding that emergency crews quickly arrived on-site and no casualties were reported, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.
Local Telegram channels shared videos of explosions and flames, though the footage has not been independently verified.
Nearby in Voronezh city, Governor Alexander Gusev said air defenses shot down four drones overnight. He noted that several fuel tanks suffered “slight damage,” but there were no fires or injuries.
Ukrainian officials have not commented on the latest incidents. Kyiv has frequently targeted oil depots and energy infrastructure inside Russia in an effort to disrupt fuel supplies and military logistics.
