Earthquake rocks Caspian Sea

An earthquake struck the Caspian Sea region on December 30.

According to the National Data Center of Kazakhstan, the quake occurred December 30, at 01:14 am Astana time, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.

The coordinates of the epicenter are 41.54° north latitude, and 49.98° east longitude. Mb magnitude is 4, and energy class is 10.9.

The quake occurred at a depth of 11 kilometers.
