Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan Disucss Prospects for Further Development of Bilateral Cooperation

Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Zhaparov had a telephone conversation with Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimukhamedow.

According to the Kyrgyz leader's press service, during the conversation the sides exchanged views on the prospects for further development of Kyrgyzstan-Turkmenistan bilateral cooperation, as well as on regional and international issues of mutual interest, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kabar news agency.

Particular attention was paid to intensifying economic cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade, energy, transportation and logistics.

President Sadyr Zhaparov and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimukhamedow expressed confidence that further development of Kyrgyz-Turkmen relations will contribute to strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation and stability in the region.
