Light Aircraft Crashes Near Moscow After Engine Failure

A light aircraft has crashed near Moscow, Russia due to engine failure.

One pilot was unharmed, while the other sustained a leg fracture. Communication with the crew has been unstable, but they managed to relay their approximate coordinates. Search efforts for the plane are ongoing, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.

The small aircraft went down around 4:30 p.m. (GMT+3) near the Novinki airfield, about 80 km from the Moscow Ring Road, close to the village of Novinki-Begichevo in the Moscow Region. The airfield serves general aviation purposes, and both people on board survived the crash.
