Major Freight Train Derailment Hits Russia’s Amur Region

Thirty-five freight train cars have derailed on the Gonzha-Gudachi section of the Trans-Baikal Railway in Russia’s Amur region.

The incident occurred on January 5 in the Magdagachinsky municipal district. Authorities confirmed that railway infrastructure was damaged, but there is no threat to the environment, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.

Emergency services are managing the situation and monitoring the site to prevent further disruptions.
