A traffic accident in western Türkiye has left one person dead and 11 others injured after a minibus carrying seasonal agricultural workers overturned in the Kiraz district of Izmir province.
The vehicle reportedly lost control, causing the driver to crash and overturn while transporting farm workers in the area, The Caspian Post reports via TRT Haber.
Emergency teams, including paramedics, firefighters, and gendarmerie units, were dispatched to the scene shortly after the accident.
One of the workers, identified as the driver’s wife, died at the scene.
The injured driver and 10 other workers were taken to state hospitals in the Kiraz and Ödemiş districts for treatment.
An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident.
