Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is undertaking a one-day visit to Doha to express solidarity with the people of Qatar following the Israeli airstrikes on September 9.
During his visit, Sharif will meet with Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to reaffirm Pakistan’s support, The Caspian Post informs via Pakistani media.
The discussions are also expected to cover regional peace and stability initiatives.
On September 9, Israeli Air Force jets struck Qatar’s capital, Doha, targeting locations where Hamas representatives were engaged in the US-mediated ceasefire talks concerning the Gaza Strip. Israel referred to the operation as “Operation Fire Summit”, claiming that all designated targets were successfully neutralized.
