During his official visit to Islamabad, Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu has met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss enhancing political dialogue, strengthening economic ties, and advancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
Minister Nurtleu briefed Prime Minister Sharif on Kazakhstan’s ongoing political and socio-economic reforms, highlighting key points from President Tokayev’s State-of-the-Nation Address delivered on September 8, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
Emphasizing the importance of systemic engagement with Islamabad as a key international partner, Nurtleu reiterated Kazakhstan’s readiness to support mutually beneficial initiatives through both bilateral and regional platforms.
“For over 33 years of diplomatic relations, our countries have maintained substantive political dialogue and built strong ties based on mutual trust, openness, and humanitarian cooperation,” he said.
Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the considerable potential for further deepening ties with Central Asian states, particularly Kazakhstan. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining political dialogue, expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation, and reinforcing regional relations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif praised the current level of Kazakh-Pakistani relations and expressed readiness for their further meaningful development.
This visit marks Kazakh FM Murat Nurtleu’s first official trip to Pakistan.
