Pakistan Working to Launch Direct Flights to Moscow

Pakistan is working to establish direct air links with Moscow, with the first flight by Pakistani carrier Fly Jinnah to Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport potentially launching soon.

Pakistani Ambassador to Russia Faisal Niaz Tirmizi made the statement on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, according to TASS.

“We are currently working on the first flight of Fly Jinnah from Pakistan to Domodedovo,” the diplomat said.

Tirmizi said that launching direct flights would be important for strengthening trade and transport links between Pakistan and Russia. He added that the new air connection could also help expand business and educational exchanges between the two countries.

In February 2026, Pakistani and Russian authorities had already discussed plans to launch direct flights between Islamabad and Moscow.
